Outdoor Family Photography | West Yorkshire
I did this outdoor family photography session at the end of Spring, and as usual have been meaning to blog about it for ages - must try harder!
It took place in the woods just outside Halifax, and although we had a grey (and at times rather drizzly!) day, we still managed to have lots of fun clambering over rocks, playing with sticks and creating bubbles as big as our heads!
This session was made up entirely of candid children's photography, no poses or 'smile for the camera' instructions, and the end result is a great storybook of our time in the woods and how each child played and interacted with their siblings.
One of the children was a bit camera shy at first, but soon came round when the bubble wands came out - sometimes a little distraction like that is all they need to relax and forget there's someone taking photos of them! I'm more than happy for you to bring along things to your session that will help your child relax, be it an activity or a favourite toy. Also, if it's something they play with a lot at the time in their lives when you have your shoot, it will serve as an extra reminder of what was important to them at the time.
Capturing the individual personality of each child is something I love to do, and makes each session as unique as the subjects themselves. If you'd like to book a lifestyle photography session for your family in the West Yorkshire area or beyond, please just drop me a line!
